The development is being built in four-phases, comprising of 10 distinct, themed districts to be developed over five years. They will house exclusive penthouses, beachfront villas, elegant town homes, luxury apartments, 5 star hotels, marinas, schools as well as upscale retail and restaurant offerings. A destination in its own right, lavish, secure and exclusive with a Riviera-style community.
Expected completion of all four phases is targeted for the end of 2011. A causeway will link the islands with mainland Qatar, providing easy access for locals and visitors.

Covering some 985 acres, The Pearl is the first freehold development of Qatar to offer non-Qatarians a world of opportunities. Upon purchase of a property at The Pearl owners are entitled to apply for a residency visa.
Even Donald Trump was impressed by The Pearl’s design on his recent visit to Qatar. He joined the owners on a trip around the island and expressed his awe on the development. While he was there he didn’t fire anybody.
