Press Release: Russian magazine experiences growth despite difficult times

A recent report from the Moscow Times has indicated many interesting media trends in Russia. Whilst many magazines are suffering lower sales/readership, some publications have actually experienced increases. These are generally free issue magazines and those targeting home owners, especially country homes.

International Residence, Russia’s leading overseas real estate magazine is a perfect example of a publication that is experiencing growth in these challenging times.

The Russian market is vastly different from established markets, for example less than 10% of the Russians read a daily newspaper(70% in Germany!) Achieving successful results requires experience and substantial data base/distribution channels.

“Russian readers do not like to read negative news, they prefer positive articles especially on homes (both abroad and locally) and home improvements. The Dacha or country home has become more popular this year with many people not travelling and we have experienced substantial growth in our readership distribution in these rural areas” – states Kim Waddoup, Publisher of International Residence.

International Residence continues to concentrate on being a free publication and targeted marketing enables promotion of property abroad directly to the target audience of wealthier readers.

The Autumn/Winter issue is currently being finalised and some advertising space is available. Book now and your advertisement will receive wide coverage both through the Property/Investment Shows and through our unique data base of high income Russian readers.
