On 19th of March I payed cash RM 3000 to an advocate/sollicitor for the desirous of purchasing an apartment in Penang (Batu Ferringhi). On 25th of March I paid an additional 10% + sollicitors' fee with the expectation from the letter of confirmation that the SPA should be executed within three weeks. Now, the 4th of May I did not yet receive anything. The only thing I have is a receipt of my bank of the remittance. Is it easy for you to tell me what are my rights and obligations. I try to connect with the Malaysian consulate in the Netherlands, but I did not succeed. I thank you in advance. With kind regards Henk Oostveen</description>

		<description>I am a Malaysian and would like to clarify a few points in the article:
1) It is not a compulsory requirement for foreigners to participate in MM2H to qualify for property purchase
2) Recent changes to the law also do not limit the number of property a foreigner can own
3) Any foreigner (include those who does not have a working oermit in Malaysia, marry a local or participate in MM2H) can own FREEHOLD property. 
4) Foreigner can not buy Malay Reserve Land at all
5) Foreigners need to obtain State Authority's consent on property acquisition.  FIC approval is not required for residential property purchase</description>
