Being built as the first ever skyscraper in Cambodia, Gold Tower 42 is a 42-storey tower and currently under construction on the Sihanouk Blvd along the way to the Lucky Super store.

Baghdad’s property market has experienced a new breath of life in recent months after being stagnant for some time due to excessive violence. This was prompted by a dramatic fall in violence. It’s been a while since we posted a Property Grand Prix post here. We lost track of time and in the meantime so much has happened, including the amazing win of Germany’s Vettel as the youngest driver ever to grace the podium.
To recap what we missed out on let’s start with the Belgium Grand Prix. As the seasons thirteenth race, the race started out on a drying track before late rain caused chaos. Brit Hamilton finished first after a he overtook Kimi Raikkonen only two laps from the finish line. To make matters worse for the Fin, he crashed his car shortly after. Ironically, Hamilton received a drive-through penalty for cutting a chicane (which was changed to a 25 second penalty because it occurred in the last five laps of the race).

The latest release of Knight Frank’s Global House Price Index shows some exciting and worrying facts about the European property market.
Markets like Spain and Ireland are hardest hit of all. Ireland especially has seen a dramatic downturn in property values with price drops of 7% last year after seeing some promising increases in 2006.

Buying a home in Croatia is set to get easier with news that the Croatian government is removing restrictions on European Union citizens from February 1st, 2009.
From that date, EU citizens will have the same rights to purchase property as Croatian nationals, other than certain rural land. The Croatian government is also streamlining some of the other processes of buying property in the country to help harmonise domestic legislation with the rest of the EU. Croatia may be joining the EU as early as next year.
